Our Approach

We believe that a play-based approach is the most compassionate and effective approach in a preschool environment. It not only allows each child to pursue what’s interesting to them, but increases their independence and fosters curiosity and observation.

Our staff is committed to inspiring the wonder of God, His world, and self in each unique child through playful discovery.

Simply put, we are after the growth and development of the whole child. Readiness isn’t just about academics but social skills, spirituality, confidence and a love of learning. We believe that these early years have the power to spark faith, ignite understanding and embolden leaders to shine bright in the world.

Our History

In 1991, a group of moms from the Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church who had children in the church nursery together saw a community need for a quality preschool to serve local families.

They had a vision to create a developmentally-appropriate preschool that would support their children’s spiritual, cognitive and social/emotional growth as well as support their growing families.

God’s favor and hand has been on ELP since the beginning. What began as a simple desire to fill a need has become an incredible blessing to over one thousand families and a cornerstone in our community for over a quarter century.
